HOST A SUMMER INTERN

Refer your company as a partner in our eight-week summer internship program!

By offering an internship to an enthusiastic high school student in Tutoring’s Career Development program, a business gains an entry-level employee for eight weeks at no financial cost, participates in a meaningful civic partnership, and has the opportunity to help break the cycle of poverty.

Internships take place for sixteen hours a week, June through August.

For more information, contact Shatoya Harper at 312.981.3384 or sharper@chicagolights.org by Friday, April 22.

FACILITATE A CLASS

Lead an interactive workshop for a group of up to 30 students. Topics can range from money management to public speaking to business etiquette. Classes are held between November and August and typically begin after 5:00 p.m.

PARTICIPATE IN A CAREER PANEL

Enjoy a one-time opportunity to speak to students about your career and educational background. Answer questions from seventh- through twelfth-grade students about your career path. Panels typically take place on various Mondays and Tuesdays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

SET UP A COMPANY TOUR

Set up a tour of your company for a small group of students, giving them a behind-the-scenes look at your organization.
