T'ai Chi-- a 12 Session Class
T'ai Chi, the ancient Chinese practice of slow, flowing movements that reduces stress and promotes proper breathing, relaxation, and balance is being offered as a 12-session class.
The focus is on concentration, breathing, alignment, weight-shifting and relaxation-all in the present moment. It is based on the ancient Taoist concept of yin and yang, or the pursuit of balance in all things, starting with one's own body-mind-spirit. T'ai Chi is said to increase flow and quality of energy throughout the body; it is excellent for helping to decrease fatigue, and, with practice, it can increase flexibility and balance, decrease pain with such conditions as migraine headaches, back problems, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, and fibromyalgia.
